An enchanting area…friendly locals… happy children playing in the streets…

I had a great time at this place, the teachers were all so much fun - i enjoyed every moment I had there. My teacher even rang up the airline for me when they had lost my bag! They organized trips for us, showed us around Heredia and San José, we learnt to cook like ticos and learned how to dance salsa and merengue. I was also placed with a lovely host family who were great. There was one guy in our group who didn't get along with his host family and they moved his straight away. The staff were all really helpful, I had a lot of fun I felt right at home here and I learned a lot about Costa Rica and of course a lot of Spanish! Muchas gracias Intercultura! Pura Vida!
Evaluation from alumnadeespanol:
After researching this school for several weeks, reading reviews and contacting former students, I thought I had found the perfect language school. I was completely wrong. The website and the school's staff promise an innovative language approach. What you get is worksheets and textbook Spanish all over again and rude teachers. There is very little practice during classes for actually speaking Spanish. The website also boasts great activities during the week, but if you stay more than one week, you find out it's the same exact classes every week with very little variation. I did hear that the Samara campus is more laidback and fun, but please stay away from the Heredia campus. The only worthwhile thing about the program is the homestay program, but the homestay is a third of what you pay for the horrible class. Plus, you can get homestays through many other schools in Costa Rica. If you are just looking for an excuse to get away from your family and drink because the legal drinking age is 18 in Costa Rica, this is the school for you. If you are serious about learning Spanish, looking for an innovative program and supportive and friendly staff members, stay away from this school. I spoke with many students there, and most were dissatisfied but just stayed because they had already paid.

lack of communication between teachers and owners. lack of profesionalism!!! This seems to be the WORST choice for a school! I’m going back to IPED myself. NEVER AGAIN INTERCULTURA!

The parties were perfect, nothing else during the remainder of our vacation was quite as exciting.
